Bridging Heavy Electrical Engineering & High-Density Compute
Think Trail Core provides rigorous, hands-on hardware education rooted in thermodynamics, power electronics, and Australian electrical safety standards.
Our Origin & History
Think Trail Core Pty Ltd was established in 2021 at our testing facility located at 51 Railway Street, Cowwarr VIC 3858.
The company was founded in response to a glaring technical gap across regional Australia: while hundreds of farmers, agricultural businesses, and independent operators invested in commercial solar systems and ASIC hardware, many struggled with thermal throttling during 40°C Victorian summers, switchboard breaker trips, and costly international shipments for basic hashboard component repairs.
Rather than offering theoretical online lectures, we converted our Cowwarr industrial workshop into an active engineering laboratory with dedicated 415V three-phase power, commercial immersion cooling loops, and high-precision SMD micro-soldering stations. Since 2021, we have trained over 140 Australian electricians, property owners, and mining operators in safe, compliant, and thermodynamically optimized hardware operation.
How We Approach Technical Training
Physical Bench Reality
No simulated animations. Every student works with physical multimeters, oscilloscopes, immersion fluid, and live three-phase circuit breakers.
AS/NZS 3000 Compliance
We teach strictly within Australian electrical safety codes, focusing on continuous thermal ratings, neutral triplen harmonics, and fire risk mitigation.
Small Cohort Discipline
Workshops are strictly capped at 6 participants (and 4 for micro-soldering) to ensure every attendee receives direct bench feedback from instructors.
Meet Your Instructors
Learn directly from professionals with decades of combined experience across Victorian industrial power systems and electronics repair.
Craig Sterling
Principal Power Systems EngineerCraig has over 18 years of experience in heavy industrial electrical distribution, switchboard engineering, and solar microgrid integration throughout Victoria and NSW. He leads our 2-Day Immersion Workshops and conducts on-site solar curtailment audits.
Lachlan Reid
Lead Hardware Diagnostic TechnicianSpecializing in component-level micro-soldering and high-frequency circuit tracing, Lachlan has diagnosed and repaired more than 2,000 hashboards. He teaches our component-level repair masterclasses and firmware autotuning clinics.
