Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last updated: August 2026 • Governing Jurisdiction: Victoria, Australia
1. Overview & Consumer Guarantees
Think Trail Core Pty Ltd strives to deliver rigorous, world-class technical education and engineering advisory services. Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). This Refund & Cancellation Policy sets out terms for cancellations, rescheduling, and refunds for our in-person workshops, diagnostic masterclasses, and on-site engineering audits.
2. Workshop & Masterclass Cancellations
Because our laboratory cohorts in Cowwarr are strictly capped at 4 to 6 participants to ensure direct bench access, late cancellations prevent other interested operators from securing training. The following cancellation schedule applies:
- 14 or More Days Prior to Workshop Date: Cancellations received at least 14 calendar days before the scheduled cohort date are eligible for a 100% full refund (less a $50 AUD administration and processing fee) or a complimentary transfer to any future cohort date within 12 months.
- 7 to 13 Days Prior to Workshop Date: Cancellations received between 7 and 13 days prior are eligible for a 50% partial refund, or you may transfer 100% of your paid fee to a subsequent cohort date without penalty.
- Fewer Than 7 Days Prior / No-Shows: Cancellations made under 7 days before the workshop date, or non-attendance (“no-show”) on the day of the workshop, are non-refundable. However, you may nominate a substitute colleague or employee to attend in your place at no additional charge by notifying us at least 24 hours in advance.
3. On-Site Feasibility Audits & Field Engineering
For on-site facility and solar curtailment audits conducted at client properties:
- Prior to Travel Commencement: If an audit is cancelled at least 5 business days before the scheduled engineer site visit, your initial deposit is refunded in full, less any non-refundable travel bookings (e.g. regional flights or car rental commitments already incurred).
- Work Already Started / Post-Inspection: Once our power systems engineer has arrived on-site and commenced electrical testing or data analysis, the deposit is non-refundable. If the formal written report has already been compiled and delivered, the full agreed audit fee is payable.
4. Non-Refundable Items & Expenses
The following items and fees are strictly non-refundable once issued or initiated:
- Opened personal safety PPE kits (nitrile gloves, ESD wrist straps, eye protection) once unsealed for lab hygiene reasons;
- Custom printed engineering handbooks and calculation software license keys once provided;
- Component diagnostic bench evaluation fees once a hashboard has undergone oscilloscope inspection;
- Direct third-party regional travel and accommodation expenses incurred for bespoke on-site audits.
5. Rescheduling by Think Trail Core
In the rare event that Think Trail Core must postpone or reschedule a workshop due to instructor illness, severe weather, regional electrical grid outages, or unexpected facility emergencies, enrolled participants will be offered:
- Priority transfer to the next available workshop cohort date of their choice; OR
- A 100% full refund of all tuition fees paid.
Think Trail Core is not liable for secondary expenses (such as non-refundable personal airfares or external hotel reservations) booked independently by participants.
6. Refund Request Process & Timeframes
