Cowwarr Hardware & Immersion Testing Lab
Located in the Latrobe Valley / Gippsland region of Victoria, our dedicated facility at 51 Railway Street provides a realistic high-density environment where participants gain hands-on experience with live industrial compute hardware.
40kW Dielectric Immersion Loop
Our primary immersion testing station features dual 20kW stainless steel tanks filled with synthetic single-phase dielectric hydrocarbon fluid. The system is coupled to an Alfa Laval brazed plate heat exchanger and an exterior dual-fan dry cooler radiator with variable-speed ECM pumps.
- Live temperature delta logging across fluid inlet and outlet
- Flow rate turbine meters and differential pressure gauges
- Fan spoofing integration on Bitmain Antminer and MicroBT Whatsminer rigs
415V Three-Phase Power Sub-Station
Engineered specifically to teach AS/NZS 3000 compliance for dense inductive computing loads. Students work directly on our transparent-front sub-board with isolated phase active bars, oversized neutral links, and Type D miniature circuit breakers.
- Fluke 435 Series II power quality and harmonic analyzer
- Neutral-conductor triplen harmonic demonstration load banks
- Class II surge protection and automatic phase-loss cutoffs
Component-Level Diagnostic Station
Four dedicated technician benches equipped for micro-soldering and oscilloscope signal tracing on 0-hash boards.
- Rigol 100MHz 4-channel digital storage oscilloscopes
- AmScope trinocular stereo boom microscopes with HDMI video output
- Hakko FR-810B hot-air rework stations and pre-heater hot plates
- FLIR E8-XT high-resolution thermal imaging cameras
Acoustic Baffling & Airflow Tunnel
A controlled static pressure wind tunnel and sound attenuation chamber used to demonstrate why simple fans fail when static backpressure rises.
- Hot-wire anemometers for measuring intake velocity and total CFM
- Class 1 digital sound level meters for dB(A) octave band analysis
- Modular labyrinth acoustic silencer test boxes with high-density rockwool
Reserve Your Bench Seat in Cowwarr
Because our workshop cohorts are strictly capped at 6 participants (and 4 for micro-soldering masterclasses), early registration is recommended to secure dates that suit your travel schedule.
